Motion of no confidence against Malaita Premier Daniel Suidani has been passed this morning in the absence of the Premier and his executive.
The outcome has caused disappointment among supporters of Mr Suidani as a result crowds gathered in Auki town protesting against the decision.
Reports from Auki say the situation is tense and police are trying their best to control the situation.
Reports say that police also shot teargas to disperse the crowd earlier today.
