THE Deputy Prime Minister and Australia’s Defence Minister, Richard Marles, has reiterated that Australia and Solomon Islands relations continue to be stronger.
Minister Marles posted on social media that he had a productive meeting with Solomon Islands Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare.
“We reaffirmed our commitment to working closely together to address shared challenges climate change, illegal fishing, and security, including food and health security.
“We are stronger when we work together”, Marles posted on social media.
He said it was fantastic to catch up with Prime Minister Manesseh Sogavare during the visit to the Solomon Islands.
He stated, they have discussed various issues, and it was a productive meeting and discussion to deepen the partnership between the two countries, including through regional security, infrastructure, labor mobility, and health.
