THE SINBIP three telecommunications towers located in Wanderer Bay(M122), Sotona(M124), West Guadalcanal, and Veuru, South Guadalcanal are now officially operational, marking a significant milestone in enhancing communication infrastructure in the area.
Known as Tower M122, M124, Veuru, these new facilities have been successfully activated, improving mobile network coverage and connectivity for residents and businesses throughout the surrounding region.

This advancement is a direct outcome of the strategic partnership between China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) and Huawei Technologies Company Limited as part of the Solomon Islands National Broadband Project with strong support from Ministry of Communication and Aviation (MCA) and related ministries, PRC Embassy in SI, Solomon Tower Limited, Solomon Telekom Company Limited (STCL) and local communities.Our Telekom also played a vital role by providing the necessary network connections to support the tower’s operations.
The project is supported by the People’s Republic of China (PRC) as part of their commitment to developing infrastructure in the Solomon Islands.

The establishment of this tower is expected to deliver more reliable communication services, stimulate economic growth, and enhance access to information and emergency services for communities in West and south Guadalcanal.
Representatives from the involved organizations have affirmed their commitment to ongoing infrastructure development across Solomon Islands, with the goal of bridging the digital divide in remote areas.
