The Commissioner of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF), Mr. Mostyn Mangau, in his presentation after the official opening of the Provincial Police Commander (PPCs) and Departmental Directors (DDs) of the RSIPF, emphasized the importance of the Annual Business Plan (ABP).

The PPCs and DDs Conference official opening occurred on 27 October 2025, at the Rove Police Headquarters in Honiara.

Commissioner Mangau, in his presentation, emphasized the importance of having a proper work plan in guiding police leaders and officers in their daily duties in their respective workplaces and communities they looked after.

Mr. Mangau said, “To be good leaders for the people we serve, we must have a work plan to guide us. This is the only way we can achieve what we want to do and what is best for the people we serve and become the best police organization in the region.”

He encouraged all PPCs and DDs to ensure that officers under their command also create their own work plans. Every commander and every officer under their supervision must have a work plan. Without a work plan, there will be no success or achievement.”

The conference provides an avenue for senior RSIPF leaders to discuss operational matters to improve policing services in the country.

Commissioner Mangau said, “RSIPF will continue to commit to professionalism in serving the people of the Solomon Islands.”
