RSIPF farewell three CPLT members

THE Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) held a farewell ceremony recently at Rove police headquarters for three China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) members who deployed to Solomon Islands (SI) in April last year.

The event was attended by the RSIPF Commissioner, Mr. Mostyn Mangau, and his executive, who gathered to express their gratitude and bid farewell to the trio.

 During the ceremony, Commissioner Mangau delivered a farewell speech, commending the outstanding performance and significant contributions of the three members during their tenure in SI.

Commissioner Mangau presented them with the Police Commissioner’s Commendation and International Law Enforcement Cooperation Medals in recognition of their exceptional service to the people of SI.

Mr. Mangau said during their tenure, they successfully carried out a range of critical tasks, including providing security support to the National General Election, organising and coordinating major police cooperation projects between China and the SI, conducting on-the-job training for RSIPF officers, and participating in numerous community engagement initiatives and cultural exchanges.

Speaking on behalf of the departing members, Ms. Wu Mingli shared heartfelt reflections on their time in the SI. She recounted touching moments and unforgettable experiences, expressed deep appreciation for their mission, and conveyed optimistic hopes for the future of police cooperation between China and the SI.

Their dedication and professionalism were widely appreciated by the RSIPF and local community residents, earning them a well-deserved reputation for excellence.

The farewell ceremony not only celebrated their achievements but also highlighted the enduring partnership and mutual respect between the law enforcement agencies of China and the SI.
